東莞理工學(xué)院國(guó)際學(xué)院于2016年5月成立。2016年9月18日，東莞理工學(xué)院國(guó)際學(xué)院舉行揭牌儀式暨首批外國(guó)留學(xué)生開學(xué)典禮，標(biāo)志著東莞理工學(xué)院成為東莞首家招收外國(guó)留學(xué)生的本土高校。

The International College of Dongguan University of Technology was established in May 2016. On September 18, 2016, the International College of Dongguan University of technology held the unveiling ceremony and the opening ceremony for the first group of foreign students, marking that Dongguan University of technology is the first local university in Dongguan to recruit foreign students.

國(guó)際學(xué)院作為學(xué)校國(guó)際化教育教學(xué)改革試點(diǎn)，主要職能包括：負(fù)責(zé)學(xué)校外國(guó)留學(xué)生教育；承擔(dān)學(xué)校各類國(guó)（境）外學(xué)生交流項(xiàng)目的實(shí)施；建立外國(guó)語(yǔ)言中心；拓展非學(xué)歷國(guó)際教育合作項(xiàng)目；承接學(xué)校其他國(guó)際化改革及合作任務(wù)。

       As a pilot of international education and teaching reform, the main functions of International College include: to be responsible for the education of foreign students; Undertake the implementation of all kinds of foreign student exchange projects in the school; establishing foreign language centers, expand international education cooperation projects for non academic qualifications; to undertake other international reform and cooperation tasks.

國(guó)際學(xué)院下設(shè)綜合辦公室、留學(xué)生辦公室、項(xiàng)目管理辦公室、外國(guó)語(yǔ)言中心和國(guó)際漢語(yǔ)教學(xué)教研室。

International College establishes several offices to facilitate and organize daily errands: the comprehensive office, foreign students office, project management office, foreign language center and international Chinese teaching and research office.

國(guó)際學(xué)院目前已招收培養(yǎng)來自泰國(guó)、意大利、巴西、以色列、捷克、印度尼西亞、美國(guó)、日本、斯洛伐克、印度、埃塞爾比亞、馬來西亞、韓國(guó)、玻利維亞等40個(gè)國(guó)家的外國(guó)留學(xué)生達(dá)400余人次；連續(xù)三年與荷蘭斯坦德大學(xué)合作開展學(xué)分互認(rèn)輔修課程項(xiàng)目。多次組織選派校內(nèi)各院系優(yōu)秀學(xué)生赴境外知名高校，如英國(guó)牛津大學(xué)、加拿大英屬哥倫比亞大學(xué)（UBC）、美國(guó)匹茲堡校區(qū)查塔姆大學(xué)等交流交換；開設(shè)各類英語(yǔ)培訓(xùn)班包括教工口語(yǔ)班、公益考研班、雅思基礎(chǔ)班、雅思提高班等。此外，學(xué)院依托教育部留學(xué)基金管理委員會(huì)（CSC）國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)互認(rèn)課程（ISEC）項(xiàng)目辦公室，自2019年起開設(shè)國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)互認(rèn)課程項(xiàng)目，項(xiàng)目運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)情況良好。

       Thus far, the International College has enrolled and trained more than 400 foreign students from 40 countries, including Thailand, Italy, Brazil, Israel, The Czech Republic, Indonesia, the United States, Japan, The Slovakia Republic, India, Ethiopia, Malaysia, South Korea and Bolivia; From 2019 to 2021, we have cooperated with the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands to deliver successfully the learning credit exchange project of minor course. We have organized and sent excellent students from different colleges of our university to visit some outstanding universities abroad, such as the University of Oxford, the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Chatham University in Pittsburgh;

       Inside the campus, the international college thrives to deliver assorted language courses including English oral class for staff, post-graduate entrance examination English class (Free of charge), IELTS course (Fundamental) and IELTS course (Advanced) etc. Additionally, since 2019, international college begins to deliver the International Scholarly Exchange Curriculum (ISEC) course in accordance with the teaching and learning requirements outlined by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
